Woods Hole Scientists Take Cues From Director James Cameron
Director James Cameron is best known for blockbuster movies like "Titanic" and "Avatar." But his next feature film isn't a work of fiction. Instead, he’s chronicling his own adventure to the deepest part of the ocean, a dive he made in a custom-built submarine called the Deepsea Challenger. That submarine is now at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and scientists there are taking some cues from one of Hollywood’s top directors.
David Gallo, who directs special projects at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, joined Greater Boston to talk about new technology is improving ocean exploration:
