Wild Turkey Population On The Rise In Mass.

There are about 18,000 wild turkeys in Massachusetts. They tend to live around forests, grasslands and swamps, but sometimes you'll see them in urban yards.

Wild turkeys like these were nearly extinct a century ago but are so prevalent today that they’re found in every Massachusetts county and have even become a nuisance.
