Solitary Confinement: The Impact Of Isolation

Imagine being confined to a tight space, just 8 feet wide by 10 feet long, by yourself for 23 hours a day. It’s hard to fathom the impact of that kind of isolation, but the new FRONTLINE documentary “Solitary Nation” provides a glimpse into the prison system that few ever see.

GUESTS

  • Robert Dellelo entered Walpole State Prison in 1964 after he was convicted of manslaughter. He was released in 2003 when his sentence was overturned.

  • Dan Edge is a documentary filmmaker who produced "Solitary Nation."
