The Role Of Race In The Boston Mayoral Race

The clock is ticking down to the Boston mayoral election. In just fives days voters will choose between John Connolly and Marty Walsh. And while they’ve worked overtime to differentiate themselves, there’s no getting around the fact that both candidates are white men of Irish descent.

WBGH News political reporter Adam Reilly had more on how that’s influenced the campaign. And Marcela Garcia of Telemundo Boston and Wesley Lowery of the Boston Globe joined Greater Boston on set to talk about the role race has in the mayoral race.
