Collected by WGBH Forum Network, research psychologist Peter Gray visited the Boston Public Library to talk about his book, Free To Learn: Why Unleashing the Instinct to Play Will Make Our Children Happier, More Self-Reliant, and Better Students for Life.

Gray questions the model of "imprisonment schooling" for children and how important it is for children to be autonomous and self-directed in their education.

This talk was sponsored by the Bay State Learning Cooperative and took place on February 12, 20-14 at 7:00 p.m.
