Marisa DeFranco On Facing Tierney And Tisei In Congressional Race

A competitive Congressional race is a rare thing in Massachusetts. The nine-seat delegation is almost always entirely Democratic, and most races are seen as foregone conclusions. But the exception to that rule could be in the 6th District, where incumbent John Tierney just barely reclaimed his seat last cycle amid widespread media coverage of his wife’s legal woes.

This year, Tierney could face Richard Tisei again, but only if he defeats three primary opponents.

Marisa DeFranco is an immigration attorney who is hoping to convince Democrats she stands a better chance of beating Tisei than Tierney does.
