Designing a More Miserable Shopping Experience
They say it’s better to give than to receive. Science says it’s also easier—particularly if your shopping experience is a miserable one. Callie Crossley discussed how retailers are manipulating shoppers in unexpected ways with Oliver Burkeman, who recently wrote an article on this for the New York Times titled Suffer. Spend. Repeat.
