Monday in the Boston Globe, reporter Frank Phillips wrote about Massachusetts Treasurer Steve Grossman and potential conflicts of interest. involving state business and his family's marketing firm. Last week, Gaming Commissioner Stephen Crosby admitted to business ties that could put his impartiality as commissioner in jeopardy.

Frank Phillips and Shannon O'Brien joined Jim Braude and Margery Eagan to discuss public officials' private dealings, and how best to insulate the public from potential favoritism.
