Boston Bike Safety: 1 Intersection, 4 Hours of Observations
By Anne Mostue
- Bike Safety, Part 1 of 2
Boston police are still investigating the bicycle crash that killed Boston University graduate student Christopher Weigl. His death last week was the city's 5th bicycle-traffic-related death this year. It's highlighted the tense, split-second decisions bikers and drivers face on the road, as they compete for narrow space.
And since bike safety is not just an urban issue, later this week we'll go to the suburbs, where conflict and competition for road space continues.
